Privacy
Short version: Small Beats has no accounts and no ads. It uses Google Analytics to count visits. Your tapes stay in your browser.
What's stored, and where
The tapes you save, the mix you're working on, your volume, the name you put in "mixed by" and the list of buddies you've met are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. We never receive them. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
If you add Small Beats to your home screen, your browser also keeps a copy of the site so it opens offline.
Tape links
A tape link carries the tape itself: the parts, a number for the tune, the name, the buddy, any notes you played along on the keyboard, and the MIXED BY name if you added one. Anyone you send it to can see those. Nothing about the tape is stored on our side.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and how often people press play, save a tape, send one or open one. It sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to tell visits apart, except in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where it runs without cookies. Google Analytics doesn't store IP addresses, advertising features are off, and we don't combine this with anything else. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, Small Beats doesn't load Google Analytics at all. Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Services your browser talks to
Only this website and Google Analytics. The music is made on your device, and the fonts and buddies are served from smallbeats.com.

Hosting
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security and reliability. We don't use them to identify or track visitors.
If you write to us, we'll use your email only to reply.
Personal information
Small Beats doesn't ask anyone for personal information. There's nothing to sign up for.
